The NATIONAL ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION COUNCIL (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. It is an outcome of the recommendations of the National Policy in Education (1986) which laid special emphasis on upholding the quality of higher education in India. NAAC was established in 1994 with its headquarters at Bangalore. Its vision is to make quality the defining element of higher education in India through a combination of self and external quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance initiatives. Baba Farid College of Education got Accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC in March, 2012.

I liked the security and exceptional transport services of the institution. BFGI is such a wonderful Institution I have even been to. I am amazed & happy to know that BFGI is educating & serving 10,000+ students. It’s a very big achievement for the institution & for whole Malwa region. The infrastructure of BFGI is commendable, it seems impossible but BFGI did it, lot of development & facility in such a short span of time.

Its worth mentioning that the social welfare department of BFGI is contributing a lot to its slogan “Live Green” which says that BFGI must be drug free campus. Manpreet Kaur, a student of BFGI & university gold medallist in poem recitation recited an extremely touchy & emotional poem depicting the social evil of today’s scenario.Dr. Vandana, a specialist while appreciating the efforts of BFGI says, I am really glad by the initiative taken by BFGI.
